We know the concept “Play-to-Earn” (also P2E) from several games already. Several ones of them have failed though because the focus were the pay-outs instead of the actual gameplay or the economy behind.
Despite the experiences many have made so far, “Play-to-Earn” games can revolutionise the entire gaming industry in the future and take this industry to a whole new level. While currently, there are still many P2E games with a focus on “earn”, there are a few exceptions focus on gameplay and on-chain gaming. One project that we have high expectations for is Battle-Chain.
Battle-Chain combines a unique e-sport first/third person shooter experience with the security of blockchain and high-end graphics based on the Unreal Engine 5.
Battle-Chain: the first Metaverse E-sport 3D Shooter built with Unreal Engine 5.
Battle-Chain is one of the first blockchain based 3D shooter games. But what does that mean? The game will run on-chain – meaning that every move, every shot, every kill is a transaction, which will be automatically confirmed and stored on the blockchain. This is currently a unique selling point as it prevents hacking or cheating and secures the fun for players. Battle-Chain also offers the option to participate in exciting E-sports tournaments and promises an exciting gaming experience with similarities to the popular game “Fortnite”, but with its own unique and futuristic design.
Battle-Chain combines the action and excitement of a shooter game with the security of the blockchain. The proprietary utility BACN token is currently available in the private sale. BACN will be the heart of the Battle-Chain ecosystem. The token is necessary to make in-game purchases to upgrade your character, armour, and weapons or to participate in the DAO. Next to that there are several other use-cases to increase its value. The P2E factor comes in with several in-game items and materials that the player can collect. Next to the characters, every item is naturally an NFT and can later on be sold on the game’s own peer-to-peer marketplace. The team behind Battle-Chain has set their goal to become the biggest and most popular free play-to-earn utility game. It is more than just a game – it is an opportunity to revolutionise and pioneer the Play-to-Earn sector. In 2023, Battle-Chain will participate in well-known conventions, including Gamescom or Dreamhack.
For Q1/2023, the team has prepared a first playable demo version of the game. Several updates will be released in the coming weeks! Stay tuned to learn more about the gameplay and future developments of Battle-Chain.
What is the advantage of blockchain-based gaming?
Transparency: Since the data on a blockchain is publicly available, players can track how and by whom virtual items and resources were acquired at any time. This prevents fraud and manipulation by game operators or other players.
Immutability: the data on the blockchain is immutable and cannot be altered (at least not easily or with significant financial means), which ensures the integrity of the games.
Ownership rights: In blockchain-based games, players can consider their virtual items and currencies as real possessions as they are registered on the blockchain. They can also buy, sell, or trade them.
Smart Contracts: Blockchain-based games use smart contracts that are executed automatically when certain conditions are met. This increases security and transparency when trading virtual items and currencies.
Decentralisation: since the blockchain is the base for these games, they are decentralised and not run on a single server or controlled by a single party. This increases security and there is less risk of fraud or manipulation.
Oh, and did we mention that Battle-Chain develop their own blockchain…?
