Developers from around the world are embarking on a unique growth journey—with access to top mentors, a global community, and pathways to funding for their projects.

Global – Following key announcements at the World Computer Summit 2025, the DFINITY Foundation and the ICP HUBS Network—a global community driving the adoption of the Internet Computer—have announced the launch of the World Computer Hacker League 2025 (WCHL25): a four-month international program challenging developers to build production-ready applications powered by Internet Computer technology.

Running from July through October, registration for WCHL25 is now open. The program is designed to maximize hands-on experience while offering participants access to the essential resources and benefits needed to accelerate their growth.

Participants will receive weekly mentorship and technical feedback from expert developers and industry veterans, offering continuous support and skill development throughout the entire program. Technical assistance will be provided through workshops, office hours, and deep dives into the ICP stack. Developers will also have the chance to present their ideas to a well-established global network of stakeholders, and pitch their projects to leading Web3 investors and angel backers.

Unlike traditional hackathons, WCHL25 offers four full months to focus, iterate, test, and deploy fully functional applications on the Internet Computer blockchain. This extended timeline enables developers to build real products—not just prototypes—solving a common problem in the space: turning hackathon concepts into lasting ventures.

“WCHL gives developers what they’ve been asking for—real time to build, expert guidance, and meaningful growth opportunities,” said Emilio Canessa, Global Adoption Director at the DFINITY Foundation. “We’re not just running a hackathon—we’re creating the kind of environment developers need to succeed. Most importantly, we want this to be an unforgettable experience for tens of thousands of builders worldwide.”

In addition to the open global track, the program leverages the unified developer ecosystem of the ICP HUBS Network—spanning North and South America, Europe, Africa, and Asia—and is structured across four phases:

Participants will be challenged to build fully functional applications on the Internet Computer blockchain, with opportunities to win rewards at each stage. The phases include:

  • Qualifying Round: where teams submit their ideas and qualify to participate,
  • National Round: where the top 30% of teams are selected,
  • Regional Round: bringing together the best teams from each continent,
  • Global Grand Finale: where top projects compete for international recognition and major prizes.

A panel of judges—comprised of leading figures from the ICP ecosystem and industry experts—will evaluate projects based on technical execution, user experience, and real-world application.

Registration is now open on DoraHacks.
Submit your idea by July 25th and discover what you’re truly capable of building.
