Streaming overlay platform Azarus has announced that it will power Evo’s official Twitch live streams during their forthcoming esports tournament. The event, which will form the largest Esports tournament in history, will unite the communities of the world’s most popular fighting games.

Evolution Championship Series (known as Evo) will run from July 19-21 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The event will bring together top players and thousands of spectators to celebrate fighting games in all their glory. Azarus’s live streaming technology will be used to enable viewers to engage in interactive games and earn rewards as they watch.

Azarus live streams unlock new ways for fans to engage, enhancing esports through the provision of web3 overlays. Its patented technology maximizes engagement between content creators and communities and is ideally suited to bringing esports tournaments to life.

Azarus Founder Alex Casssovici said: “Evo promises to be a real treat for fans of fighting games, who will be able to watch top players from 63 countries go head-to-head. With Azarus on the official Evo stream, viewers will be able to take in all the action as it unfolds, to interact in real-time, and earn sweet rewards. This will enhance the fan experience while allowing viewers to earn rewards for engaging with the largest esports tournament of its kind.”

More than 60,000 fans are expected to attend the event in person with hundreds of thousands more tuning in via live streams on twitch.tv/evo.

The three-day tournament will also feature panels, exhibitions, and game reveals. Confirmed exhibitions include Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, Hunter x Hunter Nen Impact, and a Live Rivals React with Justin Wong and IFC Yipes. There will also be panels from Capcom, Bandai Namco, Arc System Works, Cygames and SNK. Elsewhere, fans will be treated to a preview of forthcoming Riot Games release 2XKO.

Having recently been acquired by metaverse gaming leader Animoca Brands, Azarus is now regarded as the preeminent web3 gaming platform for live streams. Its technology will be used to give viewers an unrivaled experience of the Evo tournament as it unfolds, capturing every battle while celebrating the rich history and culture of fighting games.
