Last week, the web3 gaming ecosystem Overlord and Revolving Games made a collaboration announcement. The two businesses will collaborate on a PFP project that was started in January 2022 and will feature characters from Overlord’s Creepz NFT collection. What else do we know about the newest game from Overlord?

What are the details of the newest Overlord game?

The forthcoming game will be a narrative-driven adventure that takes place on numerous planets over numerous universes. There will be a variety of extraterrestrial civilizations to choose from, each with its own distinct plot. Co-founder of Overlord Don Smith writes, that each species has its own motivations and skills and, due to its unique abundance of resources and technological advancements, has different styles of conquering its enemies.

The user experience will be given precedence by the Overlord team over rigid blockchain usage. Smith outlined expectations that they would first concentrate on enjoyable gameplay and then shift their attention to developing the game’s economy once they had gained widespread popularity.

It is yet unknown to what extent NFT technology will influence gameplay. According to Smith, the team is hoping that consumers won’t notice the blockchain component of the game, which means that users won’t have to approve several transactions, keep track of private keys, or deal with any other difficulties associated with using cryptocurrency.

Why are Overlord and Revolving Games working together?

Rockstar co-founder Dan Houser is the team leader of Revolving Games, which has a strong roster. The video game studio in San Francisco will give Overlord the “tools and tech.” By doing this, Revolving Games assists Overlord in becoming a Web3 gaming superpower rather than merely the producer of the Creepz NFT line.

The majority of experts believe that gaming will be crucial in attracting the masses to Web3. Overlord is taking a big step toward establishing itself as a key player in the expanding blockchain gaming market by teaming up with Revolving Games.
